Resources at Your Fingertips

The NAPS’ library and information resources are well structured to meet your needs.

The NAPS library where you will find the librarian, study areas and essential texts in physical copies plus other useful resources, is located on Level 4. The librarian, skilled in information retrieval and analysis, is available for assistance and training.

As a NAPS student, you will also have free physical access to nearby libraries including the NSW State Library and university libraries through the Community Access system, as the access costs will be covered by NAPS.

Journal & eBook Databases

Our students also have access to a well-resourced online library through several digital library systems and other online databases.These include

  • the EBSCO Business Source Complete;
  • the Informit Business Collection, which provides a full-text Australian business journal database;
  • Oxford Reference, which brings together 2 million digitized entries across Oxford University Press' Dictionaries, Companions and Encyclopedias; and

Academic English & Skills Workshop

Regular Academic English and Research Skills Workshops are organized by NAPS to familiarize students with the essential resources and tools necessary for research and assessments. To find out the scheduled times and locations for these workshops during the trimester, please get in touch with the Library.

Printing, Copying & Scanning 

Students can access printing, copying, and scanning amenities on campus.

Please be environmentally conscious while printing or copying documents, and use natural resources judiciously. Additionally, please take copyright laws into consideration while making use of these facilities.

Borrowing

The majority of the collection is available for borrowing for a period of 14 days, and cannot be renewed.Students may borrow a total of 2 items at any one time.

Overdue Items
Any item returned past its due date incurs a fee of $2 per day. Student will be notified of any overdue items via email. Failure to pay the fine will result in your library card being blocked and you will be unable to borrow further items. The fine will continue to increase until the book is returned. Once the fine has been paid, you will be able to borrow items again.

If an item is returned later than one month after the borrowing date, it will be considered lost, and you will be charged the full replacement cost of the book. For damaged items, a flat fee of $100 will be charged, which covers the processing fee incurred by the library.

Your Student card can be obtained from the Library and acts as your library card. You can use your Student card to borrow books from the library or for printing and photocopying. The replacement fee for lost Student cards is $10.
